    Akande Tunde’s Movement to hold Table Tennis Tournaments, May 5

    A non governmental Organisation, Akande Tunde Movement, ATM will hold Table Tennis Tournament on 5th of May 2024.

    The event will be held at Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan, the Oyo state capital and Benin Republic


    In a statement signed by its founder Dr Kazeem Akande and made available to Nigerian Tribune on Monday , the founder noted that the tournament will be held in celebration of his 45th birthday anniversary.

    Akande further stated in the statement that the competition is opened for the beneficiaries of the foundation’s free tutorial classes held across ten centers in Ido local government.

    While winners that emerge at the event will win prizes including cash prize, purchase of NECO, GCE and academic scholarship awards among others .

    Akande stated that the foundation has always given support to education through payment of examination fees of indigent students , organising of tutorial classes and scholarships among others .

    Adding that the foundation was established to bridge the gap as most brilliant students, oftentimes, drop out of school for their inability to meet up with the financial requirements.

    “I have been so focused in bridging the gap between the rich and the poor, as well as initiating social intervention programmes, where every individual, regardless of his or her economic status, can access quality education, healthcare and other basic essential services”, the statement reads.
