Former political functionaries in Akinyele Local Government, have convened under the leadership of Hon. Kayode Funsho Peter, former Vice Chairman of the local government, to express their appreciation for Governor Oluseyi Makinde’s role in facilitating their severance packages.
The meeting also included a visit to the family of the late Hon. Jimoh Adedigba Taoreed, the former Chairman of the local government.
During the gathering, Hon. Peter highlighted the importance of solidarity among the party members and praised the governor for his timely support during a challenging period.
They emphasized their commitment to standing by those affected by the recent political changes.
The attendees offered prayers for the governor, the family of Hon. Adedigba, and the wider Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nigeria, with a particular focus on Oyo State and the Akinyele Local Government area.
Meanwhile, The meeting marked the first of its kind since 2024, reflecting the leaders’ dedication to community and support during trying times.
