The Councilor representing Ward 8 in Akinyele Local Government, Hon Osuolale kolawole Quadri population, popularly known as Kollypoppy, has congratulated the Executive Chairman of the council, Hon. Wole Akinleye, on his emergence as the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) chairmanship candidate for a second term.
    ‎
‎Kollypoppy’s congratulatory message followed the unanimous approval of Hon. Akinleye by the party’s leaders and principal executives, a development that paved the way for his emergence as the party’s flagbearer for the forthcoming local government election.
    ‎
‎Describing the development as a landmark achievement, Kollypoppy noted that Hon. Akinleye had broken the long-standing second-term jinx in Akinyele Local Government by becoming the first serving chairman to secure his party’s nomination for a second consecutive term.
    ‎
‎”Your emergence as the APM chairmanship candidate for a second term is a testament to your outstanding leadership, dedication and the confidence the party leaders and executives have in your ability to continue delivering quality governance at the grassroots,” Kollypoppy said.
    ‎
‎He commended the leadership of the APM in Akinyele for conducting what he described as a transparent and peaceful consensus process, saying the decision reflected unity within the party and recognition of Hon. Akinleye’s contributions to the development of the local government.
    ‎
‎”Breaking the second-term jinx is a historic feat for Akinyele Local Government. It speaks volumes about your performance and the trust you have earned from the party leadership. I congratulate you on this well-deserved emergence and wish you success in the forthcoming local government election,” he added.
    ‎
‎Kollypoppy expressed confidence that the party’s candidate would continue to consolidate on the achievements recorded during his first tenure if elected for another term, urging party members and supporters to remain united ahead of the local government poll.
    ‎
‎He then thanked the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde for his visionary support and backings given to the Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon. Wole Akinleye.
