The on going repositioning meeting of Oyo State APC has set up a recognised Elders Committee to steer the ship of the party on a collegiate leadership system.
In addition to earlier confirmed position and resolutions the reconciliation meeting of the Party has approved the constitution of a collegiate Elders Committee to work with the Party Chairman, Chief Akin Oke.
The Otunba Alao Akala reconciliation committee earlier appointed shortly before the demise of Late Senator Abiola Ajimobi the former Governor of Oyo State has therefore been dissolved and replaced with an Elders Steering Committee to be chaired by Former Governor Adebayo Alao Akala.
Members of the Elders Steering Committee approved at the meeting are;
1. Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala, Former Governor of Oyo State Chairman of the Committee ( Oyo North )
2. Chief Iyiola Oladokun Former Deputy Governor of Oyo State (Oyo North)
3. Otunba Moses Alake Former Deputy Governor of Oyo State (Oyo North)
4. Professor Taoheed Adedoja Former Minister of Sports and Special Duties ( Ibadan )
5. Dr. Isiaka Kolawole (Ibadan)
6. Pa Jolaoso
Oyo Central:
7. Chief Mrs. Yinka Adebayo
8. Senator Ayo Adeseun
9. Engr. Idris Adeoye
The Secretary of the Committee will be appointed later.
