The Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode, has received members of the Oyo State House of Assembly who visited the Local Government Secretariat as part of an inspection tour to assess the condition of the Secretariat building and offices for possible renovation.



The inspection was aimed at identifying areas of the Secretariat that require rehabilitation, renovation and improvement to create a more conducive working environment for staff and enhance the overall appearance and functionality of the Local Government complex.


Receiving the Assembly members, Hon. Alawode expressed his appreciation for the visit and the attention being given to the condition of the Local Government Secretariat.




The Chairman particularly appreciated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his unwavering commitment to grassroots development and his continued efforts towards improving the welfare of Local Government Areas across the state.

Hon. Alawode noted that the proposed renovation of the Secretariat would further complement the administration’s efforts to provide a conducive working environment for staff and improve the overall effectiveness of grassroots governance.
He commended Governor Makinde for his vision and people-oriented approach to governance, stressing that development at the grassroots remains essential to achieving meaningful and sustainable progress across the state.
The Assembly members inspected various sections of the Secretariat, including offices and other facilities, to ascertain the areas requiring attention and necessary renovation.
The Chairman expressed optimism that the inspection would pave the way for the commencement of renovation works and further improve the physical environment of the Local Government Secretariat.
Hon. Alawode reiterated his administration’s commitment to working in synergy with the Oyo State Government and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that the people of Ibadan South East Local Government continue to benefit from the developmental strides of the present administration.
The visit further underscores the commitment of the Oyo State Government to strengthening grassroots infrastructure and creating a more conducive environment for effective service delivery.
