The Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode, on Monday received the Oyo State Governorship Aspirant of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), in a grand style during a courtesy visit to the Ibadan South East/Ibadan North East Federal Constituency, held at Mapo.

Hon. Alawode warmly received the governorship aspirant and his entourage, described Hon. Adekanmbi as a visionary leader with the capacity to deliver purposeful leadership for Oyo State. He pledged his unwavering support and passionately canvassed for massive support from party leaders, stakeholders, and members across Ibadan South East and Ibadan North East Federal Constituency, urging them to remain united and work tirelessly to ensure Hon. Adekanmbi’s victory at the polls. He stressed that the success of the party depends on the commitment and collective efforts of every member.



Speaking at the gathering, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi expressed profound appreciation to Governor Seyi Makinde for his efforts and support towards the progress of the political movement ahead of the forthcoming election. He appealed to members of the party in Ibadan South East and Ibadan North East to remain united and mobilize support at the grassroots, expressing confidence that victory would be theirs.



He prayed that everyone would celebrate together at the end of the electoral process.
The Oyo State APM Chairman, Otunba Fagbemi Adegbenro Peters, also appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde and all party members for their dedication and loyalty. He emphasized that APM remains one united family and called on members to continue working together in peace and harmony to ensure the party’s victory.


Also speaking, Barr. Muyiwa Makinde urged party faithful to remain steadfast, committed, and focused on the collective goal of building a stronger and more formidable party capable of winning the forthcoming elections.
A major highlight of the event was the formal reception of Hon. Saudiq Tolase, who officially defected from the APC to APM alongside his supporters. He and his team were warmly welcomed into the party amid loud cheers from members.
The event attracted a large turnout of party leaders, stakeholders, candidates, and thousands of enthusiastic party members. Among the dignitaries present were Hon. Wasiu Adeleke, Hon. Dare Adeleke, Hon. Dayo Abiona Ogungbenro, contestants from Ibadan South East and Ibadan North East Local Governments, as well as other prominent party leaders across the state.
The colourful gathering reaffirmed the growing strength, unity, and determination of APM members to work together towards achieving victory in the forthcoming elections.
