The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Oyo State has commended members of the House of Representatives elected on its platform.
This came against the backdrop of a statement issued by the state acting Publicity Secretary in where he asked other House of Representatives members to emulate a particular Honourable.
A statement signed by the state Secretary of the party, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke stated that the statement signed on Tuesday by the Hon Michael Ogunsina was quoted out of context.
Dear Party Members,
“It has come to my attention that the post made and signed by the Acting Publicity Secretary of the Party Mr. Micheal Ogunsina yesterday, 26th of March 2024 was misquoted and taken out of proportion.
“I have read the post and there was no part of the post that maligned and denigrated our very hardworking elected officials in Oyo State.
“The post was done in good faith with no bias or persons in mind. Our elected officials are doing well.
“It is important that media and influencers comprehend words and statement objectively and they should not always misquote intentions and unsaid words.
“It is also critical to note that it is good for our elected officials and appointed officers at all levels to carry the state Secretariat of the Party along in their activities so that the Party can also sing their praise at every opportunity.
“We are one big family and the Party is advancing on a daily basis under the leadership of Engr. Seyi Makinde.”
