The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Sen. (Dr) Sharafadeen Alli, has congratulated former Senate Leader, Sen. Teslim Folarin, on his 63rd birthday, describing him as a pillar of the party.
Alli, in a congratulatory message personally signed by him, described Folarin as an exceptional political leader, distinguished statesman and an enduring pillar of the progressive political movement.
He said Folarin’s 63 years had been marked by outstanding service, political courage, loyalty, resilience and unwavering commitment to the development of Oyo State and Nigeria.
The APC candidate said Folarin’s remarkable political journey, particularly his distinguished tenure as Senate Leader, had established him as one of the influential political figures whose experience and leadership remain invaluable to the party.
According to him, Folarin’s political relevance transcends the offices he has occupied, noting that his ability to build relationships, mobilise political structures and provide strategic direction has continued to strengthen the APC in Oyo State.
Alli particularly commended Folarin’s commitment to the success of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, describing his role as the President’s Campaign Coordinator in Oyo State as a demonstration of his political stature and organisational capacity.
“Sen. Teslim Folarin is more than a political leader; he is an institution whose political experience, courage, resilience and understanding of the dynamics of governance have continued to enrich our great party.
“At 63, he remains a formidable political asset, a dependable ally and a strategic voice in the struggle to reposition Oyo State and strengthen the APC.
“His contributions to our party and the democratic development of our country deserve recognition and commendation.
“His political journey is a testament to the fact that true leadership is measured not merely by the offices occupied but by the impact made and the people inspired,” he said.
The APC governorship candidate also acknowledged Folarin’s sacrifices, political investments and commitment to party unity, particularly as the party worked towards consolidating its structures and expanding its acceptance across the state.
He expressed confidence that the former Senate Leader’s wealth of experience and strategic contributions would remain invaluable to the APC’s aspiration to provide purposeful, inclusive and people-oriented leadership in Oyo State.
Alli urged political stakeholders, party faithful and supporters to draw inspiration from Folarin’s political maturity, loyalty and enduring commitment to the progressive movement.
He prayed that Almighty Allah would grant the celebrant more years in good health, renewed strength, wisdom and greater opportunities to serve humanity.
“On behalf of my family, political associates and supporters, I wish my distinguished brother, Sen. Teslim Folarin, a happy 63rd birthday.
“May the years ahead bring him greater accomplishments, sound health and enduring fulfilment,” Alli added.
