The Senator Sharafadeen Alli Campaign Organisation (SSACO) has debunked the fake news circulating on social media in which Alli’s running mate Hon. Adesoji Adedeji was alleged to have insulted the good people of Oke-Ogun during his visit to Saki on Wednesday.
The organisation, in a statement by its Director of Media and Publicity Bisi Oladele, described the news as a lie fabricated by desperate politicians who are afraid of the wide acceptance and rising profile of Senator Alli and Hon. Adedeji in Oke-Ogun and other zones in Oyo State.
The statement read in part: “We are not surprised by the shenanigans of drowning politicians who will stop at nothing to gain relevance. We are fully aware that many politicians, particularly of APM descent, have been greatly unsettled by the mammoth crowd that received Honourable Adedeji to the zonal youth town hall meetings in Saki, Ogbomoso, Iseyin and Oyo earlier this week.
“Realizing that the APC is waxing stronger in Oke-Ogun and other parts of the state, and that youths are particularly positive towards the youthful Adedeji, APM and other parties have become jittery, seeing the signals of a clear victory for Alli, Adedeji and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections in Oyo State.
“The SSACO wishes to re-affirm Senator Alli and Hon. Adedeji’s utmost respect and honour for the good people of Oke-Ogun. They have always held them in high esteem, treating them as treasures that they truly are. There is no amount of lies that can drive a wedge between APC, its candidates and the good people of Oke-Ogun.
“In the Oyo AHEAD agenda of the Sharafadeen Alli and Adedeji’s team, Oke-Ogun takes priority in agriculture, infrastructure, youth development, education and health programmes. The recent establishment of the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho, and ongoing road reconstruction projects of the APC-led Federal Government in Oke-Ogun are a testament to the strategic importance the people of Oke-Ogun holds in the heart of APC leaders.
“The Senator Sharafadeen Alli Campaign Organisation, therefore, urges the good people of Oke-Ogun to discountenance the lies and continue to support the APC and its lofty programmes for the zone and the entire Oyo State.
“We urge all Oyo State residents to key into the Oyo AHEAD agenda of the Senator Alli and Hon. Adedeji as its implementation will help Oyo regain its pace-setting status in Nigeria.”
