Oyo Lawmaker, Ayotunde Fatokun has appealed to the management of the Oyo State Water Corporation to come to the aid of residents of Akinyele Local Government by providing pipe borne water to which will protect health and save lives of residents.
The Lawmaker representing Akinyele Constituency 1 noted that efforts must be made to increase access to portable water rehabilitation of existing water facilities in the Local Government.
Fatokun who is also the Chairman Parliamentary Council commended the state Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde who he said has performed outstandingly through implementation of some policies at the grassroots, called on the Chairman Oyo State Water Corporation, Adebayo Adepoju to as a matter of urgency take proactive steps in tackling water crisis in Akinyele.
Fatokun also remarked that water policies needed to ensure representation, participation, behavioural change and accountability of all stakeholders.
