Food Security: Lukom Integrated Services Set to Expand Agribusiness Scope in Oyo, Other States

 

…unveils new initiatives for farmers

Potential investors have been advised to confidently invest in genuine and profitable industry for the actualization of their vision and the socio-economic development of the country.

Chairman, Lukom integrated service limited, Mr. Lukmon Komolafe, made the call during a media interactive session at Dandaru, Ibadan, to announce new initiatives of the multi-services company.

Mr. Komolafe, said the initiatives aimed at expanding agribusiness across Oyo state and Nigeria, such projects include, Acres of Farmland, Oyo state farmers’ cooperative and Lukom Industrial Parks.

According to him Lukom integrated service limited, who are also the owner of Eja Wá, a public-private partnership project (PPPP) with Oyo State government, will provide aspiring farmers and agribusiness, access to affordable farmland, essential resources, adequate security and technical expertise.

He added that the organization which has offices in Abuja, Lagos, Ibadan, Ilorin, Dubai, UK and USA, seeks to empower agricultural entrepreneurs to thrive and contribute to food security and rural development.

He however assured those who may not have time to manage their farms that Lukom has partnership arrangement with Nigeria Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC), International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Cocoa Research institute of Nigeria CRIN, National Root Crops Research Institute NRCRI, Angro Rangers among others who would assist in the areas of technical, insurance and security.

Lukom integrated service limited, which has trained and equipped over five hundred fish farmers, have also invested in farming, agriculture products export, warehousing, clearing and forwarding service.

At the press briefing, Lukom integrated service limited, unveiled Jibola Akinyefa and Abimbola Lamidi, as new Ambassadors.
