In a statement signed by the President, Dr. Olusegun Ajuwon, OON, General Secretary, Mr. Zachaeus Adepoju and the Publicity Secretary of the Forum, Comrade Jare Ajayi, JP, the umbrella body for Oke Ogun people described the commissioning of the Squadron at Ago-Are, Atisbo LCDA, Oke-Ogun, Oyo State as a welcome and commendable development.

It would be recalled that the state governor inaugurated the mobile police squadron on Wednesday last week and provided the outfit with six Hilux trucks for its smooth operation. This was in addition to motorcycles that would be provided. The governor had a stopover at Ipapo where he commissioned a magnificent school building and distributed farm inputs to farmers in that area.

Farm inputs were also distributed by the governor at Iseyin and Ago-Are in addition to some palliative materials.

“From all indications, Seyi Makinde administration has been making efforts to fulfill its campaign promises. We noticed with satisfaction the ongoing work on Moniya-Iseyin road, the return of the headquarters of Oyo State Agricultural Development Programme (OYSADEP) to Saki, the plan by the governor to build a Government House Annex in Oke-Ogun as well as sundry other things like the Mobile Squadron that is meant to tackle security challenges in our area.”

The Oke-Ogun spokespersons also expressed appreciation to Governor Makinde for appointing retired General Kunle Togun as Chairman of the newly established Amotekun Security outfit in the state.

They seized the opportunity to congratulate the governor for marking one year in office and urged the government not to relent in bringing more development programmes to their area. They promised that their people will continue to support the administration.

“For being purposeful and for demonstrating the desire to really uplift our dear state, we in Oke-Ogun assure Governor Makinde and his administration of of unflinching support” the release added.
