Makinde Appoints Hon Femi Julius As New Chairman of House Service Commission, Oyo Assembly Endorses Appointment

 

The Oyo State House of Assembly has approved the appointment of former lawmaker who represented Saki West State Constituency, Hon. Femi Julius Okedoyin as the new Chairman of the House Service Commission.

This followed the reconstitution of the board by Governor Seyi Makinde.

The Governor in a letter dated 23rd July, 2024 and read on the floor of the House submitted the name of Hon. Femi Julius Okedoyin as Chairman of Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission.

Others submitted as Commissioners in the board included Hon. Moses Olawuyi Ojoawo representing Oyo South Senatorial District as Commissioner 1, Hon. Olanrewaju Oladimeji representing Oyo North Senatorial District as Commissioner 2, Hon, Adekunle Iyanda Alabanla representing Oyo South Senatorial District as Commissioner 3, and Hon. Samson Bamidele Ojo representing Oyo Senatorial District as Commissioner 4.

The nomination of Hon. Femi Julius and other members of the board was unanimously endorsed by the lawmakers during a plenary session on Tuesday.

Lawmakers in their submissions commended the Governor for appointing Hon. Femi Julius Okedoyin and other members of the board.

They described him as a former member who understands the workings of the State House of Assembly.

According to them, his experience in the legislature made him an ideal candidate for the position.

The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin charged the new appointees to work tirelessly to ensure that the Commission delivers on its mandate , as well as support the legislative arm of Government to achieve its goals.
