Olubadan to Elevate Oloye Jubril Dotun Sanusi as Ajia Olubadan of Ibadanland Friday

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Owolabi Olakulehin (Ige I), will today confer the prestigious chieftaincy title of Ajia Olubadan of Ibadanland on renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi.

Chief Sanusi, who currently holds the title of Jagunmolu Olubadan, is the Chief Executive Officer of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, a leading hospitality and sports destination in the South West, widely acclaimed for its role in youth empowerment, grassroots development, and economic transformation.

A statement from the media office of the JDS Movement confirms that the elevation ceremony will take place at the palace of the Olubadan of Ibadanland. The event marks a significant advancement in Chief Sanusi’s traditional journey and stands as a testament to his tireless commitment to the growth, peace, and unity of Ibadanland and Oyo State at large.

The Ajia title is one of historical reverence in the Olubadan chieftaincy line, traditionally reserved for illustrious sons of the land whose service and impact transcend regional boundaries.

The ceremony is expected to be graced by eminent traditional rulers, top political figures, captains of industry, community leaders, and supporters from across Nigeria.
