The Chairmanship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibadan South East Local Government area for the forthcoming Local Government election in April 27, 2024, Mr Saheed Babatunde Sulaiman (Kobiowu) has presented a fake certificate to the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission.
The incumbent Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode who is the PDP Chairmanship candidate made this known while featuring against his opposition candidate at a Radio Programme, Cross fire on Fresh FM station anchored by Mr Mayor Isaac Brown yesterday.
Hon. Alawode said it was discovered that a statement of result purportedly issued by the Kwara State College of Arabic & Islamic Legal Studies, Ilorin with a Diploma in Business Administration is fake.
For this, Hon. Alawode maintained that his opponent from APC does not possess any traits needed to lead an indigenous Local Government like Ibadan South East Local Government and therefore warned the electorates not to vote for a person with questionable certificate in the forthcoming election to avoid setback in the council area.
Hon. Alawode further disclosed that the Registrar of the institution, Mallam Afolabi Suleiman in a letter addressed to Oluwole Adeosun & Co, Legal Practitioners confirms that the certificate presented by the APC candidate, Saheed Kobiowu is counterfeit and not issued by the college.
Speaking on his achievement in the outgoing first term, Hon. Alawode said, “I have done everything during my first term in office to serve my people at the grassroot and that is why most of the projects we are doing is about bringing succor to the people of Ibadan South East Local Government and we will continue to do that in the next three years”.
“These achievements ranged from provision of good health, construction of pedestrian bridges, construction of motorable roads, yearly sponsorship of five Local Government indigenes in Oyo State Technical University and Community Nursing School, Eleyele, installation of security solar panel lights at four major police stations in Ibadan South East Local Government, empowerment of youths and women to purchase of security vehicles and motorcycles to security operatives in Ibadan South East Local Government among others”
Hon. Alawode stressed that he built his mission to serve his people on the vision of his Proactive Leader, Engr Seyi Makinde whose good work is moving the state forward better than he met it.
Arole Omituntun as fondly called, who affirmed that he his following the foot steps of Humanitarian Leader, maintained that the Governor Seyi Makinde led administration has surpassed all his predecessors’ records in terms of his inputs in agricultural, educational, infrastructural, health and other sectors in the state.
Meanwhile, the PDP continued its campaign train yesterday with visits to wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9 and 12 respectively.
The campaign tour led by the Director – General of the central campaign committee, Hon. Ademola Ige visited various communities which include Mapo Idi Arere, Bere, Ita-Ege, Labo, Agbongbon, Olunloyo, Kudeti, Molete, Ibuko, Olorunsogo, Felele and Idi-Odo junction.
Addressing the residents in these communities, Hon. Ige enjoined them to vote massively for all the PDP candidates for them to continue to enjoy the good governance under the Omi tuntun 2.0 government of Engr. Seyi Makinde at the grassroot level.
Others in attendance were Hon. Modiu Akande, Engr. Sulaiman Adesina, Hon. Kunmi Adesina, Alhaji Tiamiyu Abidikugu, Hon. Nureni Adisa, Chairmen and members of the various sub-committees, party supporters and others.
