In another remarkable demonstration of compassionate, visionary, and people-centred leadership, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District, Engineer Aderemi Abass Oseni, paid a historic courtesy visit to the industrious market men and women of Agbeni Market, the commercial hub strategically located between Ibadan North-West and Ibadan South-West Local Government Areas.
The visit was greeted with excitement and admiration as traders, artisans, transport operators, youths, women, traditional leaders, and residents turned out in large numbers to welcome a leader whose commitment to grassroots development continues to inspire confidence across Oyo South.
As a practical demonstration of his unwavering dedication to the economic empowerment of the people, Engineer Aderemi Abass Oseni donated the sum of ₦57,500,000 (Fifty-Seven Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira) to the market men and women to support and strengthen their businesses.
In addition, he promised to facilitate the construction of a modern car park within the market to improve accessibility, reduce traffic congestion, and create a safer and more convenient trading environment for both traders and customers.
Engineer Oseni also reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of market men and women by promising to initiate programmes that will improve their livelihoods while working with relevant stakeholders to ensure adequate security for lives, property, and businesses throughout the market.
Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that true leadership is measured by service, compassion, and the ability to respond to the genuine needs of the people. He assured the traders that they would continue to enjoy his support and that, with the cooperation of the people, Oyo South would witness unprecedented development and economic prosperity.
The market men and women expressed heartfelt appreciation for the generous donation and the promises made, describing Engineer Aderemi Abass Oseni as a dependable leader whose actions consistently reflect his concern for the welfare of the people.
