The Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Wasilat Adegoke, has congratulated Hon. Chief (Dr.) Mrs. Ramata Agberemi Dabo (RAD) and Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa on their appointments into key positions in the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) Oyo State Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council.
In a congratulatory message on Wednesday, Adegoke described their appointments as “round pegs in round holes,” saying Governor Seyi Makinde made the right choice by entrusting the duo with strategic responsibilities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to the Commissioner, the appointment of Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo as Director-General of the Women’s Wing of the campaign council is a major victory for women and gender inclusion in politics, noting that her years of grassroots mobilisation, humanitarian service and dedication to public service make her well suited for the role.
She also described the appointment of Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa as Director-General of the Youth Wing as a victory for the youth constituency in Oyo State, saying his longstanding commitment to youth development, mobilisation and leadership has prepared him for the responsibility.
Adegoke lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for recognising competence, loyalty and proven capacity in constituting the campaign council, stressing that the appointments further demonstrate the governor’s commitment to building an inclusive political structure that gives women and young people greater opportunities to contribute meaningfully to governance and the party’s electoral success.
”The appointments of Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo and Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa are truly a case of round pegs in round holes. Hon. Ramata’s emergence is a victory for women and gender inclusion, while Hon. Kazeem’s appointment is a victory for the youth constituency. Their track records speak for them, and I have no doubt they will deliver on their mandates.”
The Commissioner pledged her unwavering support for both campaign directors, expressing confidence that they possess the experience, organisational skills and grassroots acceptance required to effectively coordinate women and youth mobilisation across the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.
She urged party members, particularly women and young people, to rally behind the newly appointed directors to ensure the success of the campaign council, noting that unity and collective commitment would be crucial to achieving the party’s objectives.
”I commend His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for once again demonstrating visionary leadership by rewarding competence and dedication. I pledge my full support and cooperation to Hon.
