Rehabilitation and repair work has commenced on sections of Oloororo Road leading towards Ojoo Roundabout in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State, following an intervention facilitated by Hon. Solomon Olalere, popularly known as ERE, the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) candidate for the Oyo State House of Assembly, Akinyele Constituency II.
The intervention comes amid concerns over the deteriorating condition of the road, which serves as an important route for residents, motorists, commercial transport operators, traders and other road users who rely on it for their daily movements and economic activities.
The ongoing work is aimed at addressing damaged portions of the road, improving accessibility and easing some of the difficulties associated with movement along the route towards Ojoo Roundabout.
For communities that depend on local roads for transportation, trade and access to essential services, the condition of road infrastructure remains a significant concern. Damaged road sections can contribute to travel delays, increased vehicle maintenance costs and difficulties for commercial and private road users alike.
Speaking on the intervention, Hon. Olalere, popularly known as ERE, emphasised the importance of translating community concerns into practical action.
According to him, community development should go beyond promises and political statements, stressing the need for tangible efforts that respond to the everyday challenges confronting residents.
He maintained that identifying pressing community needs and supporting practical interventions are important steps towards improving infrastructure and the general well-being of people across Akinyele Constituency II.
The commencement of repairs on Oloororo Road represents an effort to address one of the infrastructure concerns affecting road users in the area. As work continues, residents will be looking forward to the completion of the intervention and its impact on accessibility, transportation and everyday economic activities.
Motorists and other road users have been advised to exercise caution around the repair site and cooperate with workers to ensure safety throughout the rehabilitation process.
ERE’s intervention on Oloororo Road brings renewed attention to the importance of community-level infrastructure, responsive representation and practical approaches to addressing local challenges.
