Temilolu Nurudeen Ashamu (Seun TNA) on Wednesday attended the Oyo West Local Government APM General Meeting at Bola Primary School, Sanga, Oyo, where he thanked party leaders and members for their continued support and reaffirmed his commitment to a more prosperous and empowered Oyo Federal Constituency.

Ashamu was warmly received by party leaders, stakeholders, youths, women and members from across the Local Government.

The meeting was attended by Hon. Rahaman Olorunpoto, Member representing Oyo East/Oyo West State Constituency; the Executive Chairman of Oyo West Local Government, Prince Salami Akeem Olukitibi; the Vice Chairman; the APM Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Nureni Adesola Alade; Alh. Isiaka Adebayo; Alh. Okunlola Fatai Obabi; the immediate past party Chairman, Alh. Oloyo; and other party leaders and stakeholders.

Addressing the gathering, TNA thanked members for their support and stressed the importance of ensuring that politics translates into meaningful opportunities and improved livelihoods for ordinary people.
As part of his immediate support for members, he presented ₦500,000 and 15 bags of rice to the Oyo West APM.
Going beyond immediate relief, TNA also announced an agribusiness support initiative for beneficiaries from Oyo West. Fifteen people are expected to be selected for the programme, with party leaders and elders involved in the process to promote fairness and broad representation.
Selected beneficiaries will receive practical training and, upon successful completion, start-up support to enable them to establish or strengthen sustainable means of livelihood.
Speaking on the initiative, Ashamu emphasised that while immediate support has its place, political leadership must increasingly focus on sustainable empowerment that equips people with the tools to become economically independent and productive.
The visit also provided an opportunity for engagement with party leaders and members as preparations gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
For Ashamu, the Oyo West engagement forms part of a wider commitment to grassroots consultation, sustainable empowerment and people-focused representation across Oyo Federal Constituency.
