Our attention has been drawn to a frivolous write-up purportedly authored under the pseudonym “Gafari Hammed,” in which spurious allegations were leveled against our revered leader, His Excellency Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja.
The writer falsely claimed that in 2023, Ambassador Arapaja was entrusted with 50 Apple MacBook computers, generators, office furniture, internet facilities, and other materials by the federal government to train youth in Artificial Intelligence and advanced computer skills.
For the avoidance of doubt, while the writer claimed that 50 Apple MacBook computers were supplied, the actual number of computers delivered was 15. The deliberate presentation of 50 computers instead of the actual 15 is misleading and gives a false impression of the quantity of equipment supplied to Ambassador Arapaja.
While our initial inclination was to ignore the purveyor of this fallacious story, we find it imperative to set the record straight and properly inform the public.
However, the facility could not be put into immediate use because the government has yet to complete the installation of the internet infrastructure required to make the training effective.
Claims that the equipment has “developed legs” and that the center remains locked forever are blatant lies.
All equipment remains completely intact in a secured office.
Furthermore, we categorically state that we know the true identity behind this pseudo-anonymous writer, who is collaborating with Dare Adeleke with the sole aim of defaming our boss.
This coordinated character assassination is entirely unacceptable.
We remind the public that Dare Adeleke’s own account of stewardship as Chairman of Pacesetter Transport Services (PTS) remains a matter of public record. His activities and dismal performance are well-documented and cannot be covered up.
The administrative mess he created was the precise reason Governor Seyi Makinde removed him from office, tolerating his conduct only until after securing a second-term election victory, before replacing him with another person.
It is widely known how Adeleke ran helter-skelter pleading with his successor not to probe his tenure at PTS. Staff members who worked under him will not forget the ill-treatment they endured during his administration.
In conclusion, we issue a clear note of warning to the individuals hiding behind a pseudonym to disseminate falsehoods against Ambassador Arapaja to curry favour with their political paymasters: desist immediately.
Should this defamatory conduct continue, we will not hesitate to initiate formal legal action to ensure that you face the full wrath of the law.
