The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the People’s Democratic Party, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has felicitated with the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Abiodun Makinde on the occasion of his 57th birthday anniversary today, 25th December, 2024.
In a congratulatory message Ambassador Arapaja personally signed but made available to newsmen through his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim, he stated that Governor deserve to be celebrated and appreciated for his doggedness, commitment and steadfastness in the development of Oyo state.
“Your Excellency, the immeasurable and invaluable contributions you have made to national development is indelible in the minds of discernible Nigerians. We are truly privileged to have a man like you in leadership in our time.”
While also felicitating with Governor Makinde, Christian faithful and Nigerians as a whole as they joined their counterparts all over the world in the celebration of this year Christmas festival, Ambassador Arapaja lauded the Governor for his decision to cancel his birthday celebration in honour of the innocent children that lost their lives last week Wednesday at a children funfair programme in Ibadan.
Arapaja called on the Christian faithful to use the period of celebration to reflect on the state of the nation and the lessons learnt in the life of Jesus which are love, sharing, accommodating unity and forgiveness, adding that they should imbibe these virtues in their dealings with one another.
While wishing Engr. Seyi Makinde many glorious years with sound health, wisdom, peace of mind and fulfilment of his heart desire, Arapaja solicited continued support and cooperation from the people for his administration in his quest to take the state to greater heights.
