A former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Ambassador Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja, has felicitated His Imperial Majesty, Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on the historic twin occasion of his 82nd birthday and his first anniversary on the exalted throne as the Olubadan of Ibadanland.
In a congratulatory statement issued on Friday by his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim, Ambassador Arapaja described Oba Ladoja as a pillar of wisdom, an exemplary administrator, and a visionary leader whose life continues to inspire generations.
Arapaja noted that attaining the age of 82 while marking a successful, peaceful first year on the throne of his ancestors is a rare grace from the Almighty God, deserving of immense gratitude and celebration.
“His Imperial Majesty’s journey—from distinguished public service as a former Governor and Senator to becoming the paramount ruler of Ibadanland—reflects selfless service, dedication, and an unyielding commitment to the welfare of the people. In just one year on the throne,
the reign of Oba Rashidi Ladoja has brought noticeable harmony, cultural renewal, and peace across Ibadanland and Oyo State at large,” Arapaja stated.
The APC chieftain prayed that God grants the monarch continued good health, renewed strength, and long life to pilot the affairs of Ibadanland to even greater heights.
“On behalf of my family and political associates, I warmly congratulate our revered father, Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on these milestone achievements. May your reign continue to bring unprecedented progress, economic growth, and prosperity to our ancient city,” the statement concluded.
