Arapaja’s Propaganda Machine Cannot Whitewash a Lifetime of Betrayal – Sunday Agunbiade

We have noted that Taofeeq Arapaja has continued his campaign of lies against our benefactor and leader, Hon. Dare Adeleke as he continues to deploy his minions in a futile attempt to whitewash a political record indelibly stained by disharmony and treachery – facts well known across Oyo State and beyond.

We will not take this lying low, all lies and falsehood being spread against our mentor, the great grassroots mobilizer, will be countered with pure unadulterated truth.

It is often said that when some people have nothing substantive to say against an opponent, they resort to personal attacks. We will not take that lying down. We will respond by exposing their falsehoods with facts.
Arapaja, the serial betrayer, is no different from those who, having been exposed, resort to attacking a man’s family rather than addressing the issues at hand. It is both pathetic and disgraceful.
We have therefore decided to respond to Arapaja and his army of “₦2,000 data boys” over the falsehoods being spread about our leader’s origin and lineage. Those irresponsible and misleading claims clearly bear Arapaja’s fingerprints. As the Bible says, it is “the voice of Jacob, but the hands of Esau.” We can now safely conclude that, besides being a traitor, Arapaja is also a coward.
His supporters went as far as attacking Dare Adeleke’s family, yet he ignored them. However, attempting to rewrite the facts of his ancestry is the behaviour of defeated men. They can no longer fight with their hands; they have now resorted to using their teeth against an opponent who has rendered their arms powerless. That is the defining trait of a coward and a turncoat.
We assure Arapaja that the Adeleke camp will continue to state the facts, as consistently reiterated in previous articles: Taofeeq Arapaja is a political Lilliputian who cannot win even his own ward. The APC has simply acquired a worthless bag of barren seeds that will yield no harvest.
It is equally telling that Arapaja has yet to deny being a political freeloader and bootlicker. Neither has he denied that his erstwhile benefactor, Governor Seyi Makinde, rescued him when he was politically stranded and allegedly on the verge of losing his Abuja residence. We repeat that only an unrepentant ingrate would continue living in a house reportedly worth well over ₦500 million, secured through another man’s generosity, while publicly vilifying that same benefactor. Such conduct speaks volumes about character.
There is no need to repeat Dare Adeleke’s catalogue of Arapaja’s alleged betrayals over the years. Instead, we shall simply place the facts of our leader’s family history on record.
We also issue a firm warning to any individual claiming to speak for Arapaja – any further false or defamatory reference to Dare Adeleke’s lineage will attract legal action. If he chooses not to act, we certainly will.

    For the record:

Dare Adeleke is not a visitor to Ibadan South-East. He is a bona fide son of the soil.
Paternal roots: His father, the late Barrister Femi Adeleke, served as a Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in the Oyo State Ministry of Justice in the 1980s. His paternal uncle was the late Justice Emmanuel Fakayode. The Adeleke family compound is located at Oke Dada, Mapo, Ibadan South-East.
Maternal roots: His grandfather, the late Alhaji Adetunji Adeleke Agbalese of Oke Dada, was a respected figure whose name was celebrated in the music of the legendary Yusuf Olatunji. His mother, Alhaja Afusat Adeleke, built her second home at Molete, Olorunsogo, where the house still stands today.

Upbringing: Dare Adeleke attended ICC, Mapo, and St. Luke’s Demonstration School, Molete, both within Ibadan South-East. To question his origin is to deny public records, family history and the very streets on which he was raised.
Let it be clearly understood that a million write-ups by Arapaja’s hirelings cannot erase the widely held perception that he is a serial betrayer and a political nonentity.

    Sunday Agunbiade writes from Ibadan.
