The Seun Ashamu Campaign Organisation has donated ₦5 million towards the completion of the Anwar-ul-Islam Movement of Nigeria, Oyo Mission Event Centre.

The donation was announced by Senator Monsurat Sunmonu during the Movement’s turbaning ceremony and fundraising programme held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Old Oyo National Park, Isokun Area, Oyo.

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) House of Representatives candidate for Oyo Federal Constituency, Barr. Temilolu Nurudeen Ashamu (Seun TNA), attended the programme as Special Guest of Honour.

The event brought together members of the Movement, Islamic clerics, community leaders and invited guests to recognise divisional imams entrusted with responsibilities in the service of Islam and the organisation.

The occasion also provided an opportunity to mobilise financial support towards completing the Mission Event Centre, a development project being undertaken by the Oyo Mission of the Anwar-ul-Islam Movement.

The ₦5 million contribution was made in support of the fundraising initiative and the Movement’s efforts to complete the facility.

The programme highlighted the contributions of religious institutions to education, moral development, peaceful coexistence and community wellbeing, as well as the importance of community-led initiatives in advancing local development.

It also recognised the role of faith-based organisations in mobilising resources for projects that serve their members and the wider society.

Prominent political leaders and stakeholders who attended alongside Ashamu included Senator Monsurat Sunmonu; Hon. Shakiru Ojo, Director-General of the Seun Ashamu Campaign Council; Hon. Kareem Rasheed; Prince Wale Fariogun, APM State Executive Committee member; Hon. Tirimisiyu Azeez, APM Southwest Zonal Executive Committee member; Alhaji Isiaka Adebayo, party leader in Oyo West Local Government; and Alhaji Fatai Obabi, former Chairman of Oyo West Local Government, among other dignitaries.

The Anwar-ul-Islam Movement of Nigeria, Oyo Mission, is led by Chairman Alhaji Ibrahim Alabi Ayeriyina, with Bro. Raheem Afees Adekunle serving as Mission Secretary.
