A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Hon Ibrahim Ajiboye popularly known as Omo Iya Eleja has congratulated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde as he bagged Best Governor of the Year Award.
The honour was bestowed on the Oyo State Governor on Tuesday in Abuja by the management of Leadership Newspaper.
Omo iya Eleja in a statement issued from the United States on Wednesday, says, Makinde’s sterling leadership qualities has projected him as a nation leader who has been tipped by the masses of Nigeria as a future President to lead Nigeria.
Omo Iya Eleja, a Federal House of Representatives candidate in the 2023 general elections stated that Makinde’s policies and programmes since he assumed office in 2019 had improved the lives of the people of the state.
He said the developmental strides of the present administration in the his four cardinal agenda are geared towards making life more comfortable for the masses.
The PDP Chieftain cited instances when Federal Government of Nigeria emulated Governor Makinde’s policies and when labour leaders and pensioners in some states asked their Governors to ask their Oyo State counterpart how he has been paying workers and retirees simultaneously and paying backlog of gratuities owed by his predecessors.
Omo iya Eleja urged the governor to sustain his good works, stressing the need for an enabling environment that would further boost people’s confidence in his administration Nigeria in Nigeria.
