As political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to gather momentum in Oyo State, indications have emerged that prominent political figures may soon be unveiled as key officials in the campaign structure for the presidential ambition of Governor Seyi Makinde and the governorship of Hon Bimbo Adekanmbi.
Sources familiar with the development who spoke with Goalpoachernews disclosed that the Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Nureni Adeniran, has been considered for appointment as the Director General of the campaign for Bimbo Adekanmbi.
Also expected to play a strategic role is Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo (RAD), who currently serves as the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters.
She is reportedly being lined up as the Director of Women Mobilization, a position expected to coordinate grassroots engagement and women’s participation in the campaign.
Similarly, Kazeem Bolarinwa, a former Special Assistant on Youth and Sports to Governor Seyi Makinde, is tipped to serve as the Director of Youth Mobilization, where he would be responsible for galvanizing support among young people across the state.
Meanwhile, the Chairman Pacesetter Mineral Development Company , Hon Saheed Adeyemi Arowosaye will serve as the deputy Director-General in Oyo Central for both Makinde and Adekanmbi’s elections.
A credible source, who spoke with Goalpoachernews on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly on the matter, disclosed that all the prospective campaign directors met with Governor Seyi Makinde on Monday to fine-tune the proposed campaign structure.
According to the source, the list of campaign officials is expected to be finalized tonight ahead of an official announcement.
Although no official statement has been issued by the campaign organization, multiple sources maintained that the appointments could be announced at any moment, as consultations on the final composition of the campaign team have been concluded.
