The court of Appeal sitting in Lagos State has affirmed the election of Hon (Dr) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju as member of the house of representatives for Ibarapa Central/Ibarapa North Federal Constituency in Oyo state.
The court which delivered its judgement on Friday dismissed the appeal brought by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Hon Ajibola Muraina.
Goalpoacher News had reported that the election Petition Tribunal upheld the victory of Dr Adepoju as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.
But not satisfied by the Tribunal Judgment, Muraina approached the appellate court seeking to upturn the Tribunal Judgment.
The Appeal Court has therefore upheld the Tribunal Judgment.
With this verdict, Ibarapakan can now focus on his primary assignment at the National Assembly.
