BREAKING: Tinubu Commissions 76.67km Alao Akala Memorial Expressway in Oyo, Says ‘Posterity Will be Kind to Seyi Makinde
President Bola Tinubu has commissioned the newly constructed 76.67km Ogbomoso-Fapote-Iseyin Road named Adebayo Alao Akala memorial expressway.
The road was initiated and completed by Governor Seyi Makinde.
Tinubu who was represented by the Vice-President, Senator Kashim Shettima (GCON), commended Governor Seyi Makinde for always being a collaborative partner and more importantly for investing in capital projects that have direct value to the people.
According to Shettima, the 76.67km Alao Akala memorial expressway will boost agriculture and commerce in the communities interconnected.
The Vice-president while congratulating Makinde said posterity would be kind to him for embarking on projects that would live after his administration.
Speaking at the epoch making event, Governor Seyi Makinde said where road goes, development takes place.
He said his administration embarked on roads infrastructure that that interconnected with two zones in the state.
“Our focus is to ensure that development is spread across all zones. We will continue to improve on our infrastructure deficit in Oyo State. ”
Makinde used the occasion to invite local and international investors to make Oyo State their preferred destination as his administration will continue to ensure safe and secure environment for their investments.
The even was attended by the Chairman, Nigeria Governor’s Forum and Governor of Kwara State, family members of late former Governor Adebayo Alao Akala, members of the National Assembly, state Assembly, traditional rulers, members of PDP NWC and SWC among others.
