Oyo state Governor,Seyi Makinde has flagged off Oyo state youth in Agribusiness Project at Rural Community Development Centre Awe, Afijio Local Government, Oyo State.
Makinde stressed that the state youth Agribusiness would be strengthened through the involvement of youths in this initiative. He said, “this is not politics, we are running an administration that doesn’t reflect either you are APC or PDP, politics and electioneering had come and gone, this is about the people of Oyo State and we are determined to deliver dividends of democracy to our people.
The Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to improve the Internally Generated Revenue of Oyo through Agribusiness and provide jobs for thousands of youths in the state.
Governor Seyi Makinde also promised to rehabilitate the center by providing basic infrastructural facilities such as electricity, Portable water and other amenities to make the center more functional.
In their separate remarks,the commissioner for Agriculture, Hon Ojemuyiwa Ojekunle and Executive Adviser to Governor on Agribusiness, Dr Debo Akande said the Agribusiness is capable of bringing accelerated development and boosting the economy of Oyo state.
They lauded the vision of Governor Seyi Makinde towards reviving the Agricultural sector in Oyo state.
