BUK Students Hail Governor Makinde’s Remarkable Achievements, Presents Award of Excellence to Kazeem Bolarinwa
The leadership of the Federation of Oyo State Students Union (FOSSU), Bayero University of Kano, on Monday commended Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde for changing the fortunes of the State for good.
The President of the union, Comrade Yusff Adedolapo stated this in Ibadan when he led the delegation of the union on a courtesy call to some officials of the state government. He described Governor Makinde as the architect of modern Oyo State.
The student body particularly commended the Governor for his giant strides in road construction, rehabilitation, expansion of the economy, security and education noting that Makinde’s sincerity of purpose and sheer determination has changed the fortunes of the education sector for good.
Adedolapo added that the Governor has been delivering on his campaign promises and for the past two years, all parts of the State have been experiencing unprecedented development.
He however urged the Governor to extend his goodwill to Oyo State students studying in Kano and other parts of the North in general.
The highpoint of the session was the presentation of award of Excellence to the Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth and Sports, Hon Kazeem Bolarinwa who they described as a pride and role model to youths in the state and Nigeria as a whole.
