    Children’s Day: Ayo Fatokun Foundation Fetes School Pupils in Akinyele and Lagelu Local Governments

    It was fun galore on Monday; May 27 in Akinyele and Lagelu Local Governments as Ayo Fatokun Foundation thrilled hundreds of primary school pupils with fun.

    Ayo Fatokun Foundation is a charity non-profit organisation passionately driven by the need to enable and facilitate a better life for every child, marked the 2024 Children’s Day celebration with fun fare.


    Speaking at the elaborate event held at IDC Model Primary School, Akobo, Ibadan, the Executive Director of the foundation, Hon Ayotunde Fatokun said Children’s Day is a special day for every child and that the annual event is in line with the NGO’s mandate to promote, protect and preserve the rights and welfare of children.

    He said his foundation has been doing this, adding that nothing could have stopped this year’s edition despite the harsh socio-economic situation in the country.

    “We celebrate the wonderful children of our great nation every year through this event because we know that Our Children are precious inheritance and they are indeed the leaders of tomorrow and they are the future of this country.

    Chief Benedict Akika gave scholarships to the pupils for their common entrance exam fees while Alhaji Abideen Adetokunbo Adeaga promised to give N50,000 to two pupils for their outstanding performance.

    Pupils performed cultural dance and got cash gifts. The event also featured March Past, spelling bee among other competitions with pupils getting different writing materials as gifts.
