The Director of the Code of Conduct Bureau in Oyo State, Mr. Amao Ajibola, paid an official visit to Ibadan South East Local Government to brief members of staff on the proper procedures for filling the Code of Conduct assets declaration form.

Welcoming the Director and his team, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode, appreciated the Bureau for the timely orientation and encouraged all staff members to pay rapt attention to the instructions provided.

He stressed the importance of compliance and transparency in public service.

In his remarks, Mr. Amao Ajibola commended Hon. Alawode for his accessibility, cooperation, and warm reception accorded to the team.

He noted that among all the Local Governments visited so far, Hon. Alawode stands out as the only political leader he could confidently rate 100 percent in terms of support and collaboration with the Code of Conduct team.

He therefore charged other Local Governments to emulate the exemplary leadership demonstrated at Ibadan South East.
The Director further emphasized that asset declaration is a constitutional duty for public officers.

According to him, the exercise is designed to checkmate corruption and promote accountability in public office. He added that the declaration is mandatory and must be done every four years in line with constitutional provisions.

After the orientation session, the Head of Local Government Administration, Dr. Agnes Olakunbi Ojo, commended the efforts of the Bureau and encouraged staff members to seek clarification on any aspect not clearly understood in order to avoid errors while filling the forms.

Also present at the event were the Leader of the House, Hon. Ayodeji Oladepo; Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Kazeem Kareem; Chief of Staff, Prince Olusegun Oludaye; Director of Administration and General Services, Mr. Kayode Bamgbade; Director of Education and Social Services, Mrs. Victoria Modupe Orotoye; Director of Finance, Mr. Abidemi Ogunmakinde; Director of Works, Engr. Tope Adebimpe; Acting Director of Education and Social Services, Mrs. Adeola Ishola; Internal Auditor, Mr. Isiah Folorunso; NULGE Chairman, Comrade Seye Akinola; alongside other management staff and members of the Local Government workforce.

The visit underscores the commitment of Ibadan South East Local Government to BRIEF transparency, accountability, and adherence to constitutional responsibilities.
