The Okanlomo Oodua and Badah Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has heartily congratulated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja (ARUSA I), on what he described as a historic, visionary and landmark achievement with the formal inauguration of the Ibadan Community Guard and the official unveiling of the “Gaari Ibadan” Initiative.

In a congratulatory statement made available to the press, Chief Sanusi lauded the revered monarch for once again demonstrating uncommon leadership, fatherly wisdom, and a deep commitment to the peace, progress, and prosperity of Ibadanland.

According to him, the inauguration of the Ibadan Community Guard is a bold and timely intervention that reflects the Olubadan’s unwavering concern for the safety of lives and property across the eleven Local Government Areas of Ibadanland.

Chief Sanusi noted that the initiative is not only a strategic complement to the efforts of conventional security agencies, but also a practical demonstration of grassroots leadership and community-driven responsibility in addressing security challenges confronting society.

He further described the unveiling of “Gaari Ibadan”, under the Ibadan Economic Investment and Business Development Desk in collaboration with the Ibadan Food Security Initiative, as a commendable step toward strengthening local enterprise, food sustainability, and economic empowerment within the ancient city.

“Kabiyesi has once again proven that true traditional leadership goes beyond cultural preservation; it also includes visionary intervention in matters of security, economy, and the wellbeing of the people. The inauguration of the Ibadan Community Guard and the unveiling of Gaari Ibadan are monumental initiatives that will leave lasting impacts on Ibadanland,” Chief Sanusi stated.

He also commended members of the planning and implementation committee, as well as all stakeholders whose dedication, foresight, and collaborative spirit contributed to the successful execution of the noble initiatives.

Chief Sanusi emphasized that the twin initiatives represent a powerful model of how traditional institutions can continue to play transformational roles in modern governance, peacebuilding, and community development.

While congratulating Oba Ladoja on this remarkable feat, the foremost entrepreneur and philanthropist prayed for the continued strength, wisdom, and divine guidance of the Olubadan in his reign over Ibadanland.

“On behalf of myself, my family, associates, and all lovers of progress in Ibadanland, I sincerely congratulate our highly respected royal father, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on this laudable and forward-looking achievement. May your reign continue to usher in peace, development, unity, and greatness for our people,” he added.

Chief Sanusi reaffirmed his continued support for every genuine cause and initiative aimed at advancing the security, economy, and collective prosperity of Ibadanland and Oyo State at large.
