With heavy hearts but total submission to the will of God, I extend our commiserations to my Principal; His Excellency, our amiable First Lady; Her Excellency Eng Tamunomini Makinde, my egbon Mogaji Muyiwa Makinde and the rest of the Makinde family on the sudden demise of the eldest brother of our Leader; Engineer Sunday Makinde on behalf of all women of Oyo State.

We received the sad news with rude shock early this morning but in keeping with our belief in and total submission to the Omnipotence and Omniscience of the Almighty, we thank God for a life though relatively short, but definitely well spent in the service of God and mankind.

Uncle Sunday was an easygoing, amiable gentleman beloved by young and old.

Its my heartfelt prayer that the Almighty overlook the faithful departed’s shortcomings, grant the nuclear and extended family he left behind the fortitude to bear an irreparable loss and grant him rest in the bosom of the Almighty.

    Hon( Mrs) Toyin BALOGUN
COMMISSIONER FOR WOMEN AFFAIRS & SOCIAL INCLUSION
