Coronation: Beulah Adeoye Congratulates 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Olalere Owolabi Olakunlehin
The President of the Beulah Adeoye Foundation, Amofin Beulah Adeoye, has congratulated the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akinloye Olalere Owolabi Olakunlehin, on his coronation as Olubadan of Ibadanland.
In his congratulatory message to the highly revered first-class monarch, Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin, and the people of Ibadanland, Beulah Adeoye described the Ibadan traditional institution as a model of democratic setting and principle of equality in all ramifications.
According to the Ipapo-born finance expert and legal luminary, “The ascension to the stool of Olubadan of Ibadanland defines the true nature of patience, high level of perseverance, and contentment as no one can jump the steps without being duly promoted and certified by the Olubadan in Council, as backed by the Ibadan chieftaincy laws and declaration.”
“Our Kabiesi, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin, is a thoroughbred teacher, historian, builder, and retired military officer with the rank of Major.”
“Just as he has always been a guide and custodian of our history, traditional institution, and above all, the core values of Yoruba history, we believe he will continue in that line of duty even more as Olubadan of Ibadanland.”
“Kabiesi’s vast experience in different sectors of Nigeria’s economy will be greatly explored and thoroughly utilized in bringing more transformational development to Ibadan, Oyo State, and Nigeria as a whole.”
“Historically, Kabiesi Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin began the journey to the throne of Olubadan of Ibadanland in 1983 when he became Mogaji for the Ige Olakunlehin family of Ita-Baale in Ibadan North East Local Government. He rose to the position of Jagun Balogun of Ibadanland in 1986 under the reign of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Oloyede Asanke. Dutifully rising through the ladder of the Olubadan of Ibadanland line of system, Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin was elevated to the Olubadan-in-Council under His Imperial Majesty, Oba Yinusa Bankole Ogundipe, the 38th Olubadan of Ibadanland.”
“Oba Olakunlehin’s journey to the throne of his forebears is motivating and encouraging, as is well known in the Ibadan traditional system. He has been using his strength and resources to advance the cause of Ibadanland and Oyo State for the good of all.”
“At Beulah Adeoye Foundation, we warmly congratulate the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akinloye Olalere Owolabi Olakunlehin, on his coronation and issuance of staff of office, and the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr Seyi Abiodun Makinde, for being a proud son of the soil and for defending the traditional institutions of the state under his custody as governor.”
“It is interesting to note that the Beulah Adeoye Foundation has supported the coronation of the Olubadan of Ibadanland with the sponsorship of drinks and other menus for the traditional events at the ancient Hall of Mapo”.
