COVID-19: Demola Omotoso flags off disbursement of #600 to Constituents in Ibadan North Federal Constituency
A former chairman, Ibadan North Local Government, Honourable Ademola Kamil Omotoso, has distributed palliatives to the people of his federal constituency to cushion the effects of the stay-at-home directive of the state government to contain the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic in the state.
You would recall the former Chairman on Monday joined the list of donors that have contributed to the state endowment fund set up by the COVID-19 Task Force headed by Governor Seyi Makinde.
The PDP stalwart, explained that the gesture became imperative at this critical time to provide food on their tables while also obeying the stay-at-home directive and other preventive measures put in place by the state government to prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
“As you can see, we have started distributing the money to the people of my constituency,
saying that in time like this, the less privileged in the society must be assisted to improve their welfare. He added that the selection process was not restricted alone to his party members, he noted that the selection was done based on merit without any political or party colourations.
Hon Ademola, also called on well-meaning individuals and corporate organisations to come to the aid of the needy in the society and extend the hands of fellowship to them.
He urged the people to maintain social distancing, regular hand washing and use of hand sanitizers among other precautionary measures put in place to fight the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
Some of the beneficiaries, commended himfor coming to the aid of the people in time of need, saying that the people of the constituency would forever be grateful to him for the gesture.
GoalPoachernews correspondent, reports that a sum of Five Thousand Naira as well as one sanitizer was given to each beneficiary. Twenty beneficiaries were drawn from each of the twelve wards that make up Ibadan North Federal Constituency.
