The people of Ibadan Southeast, under the banner of the “Good Governance Movement” (GGM), have expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the performance of Honorable Oluwole Alawode, describing him as the best chairman in the history of their local government.
The commendation highlighted the significant impact of his leadership and the positive changes witnessed in the community.
In a statement issued by the group and made available to GoalPoacher News, they emphasized the transformative initiatives that have flourished under Alawode’s stewardship.
“Hon. Alawode has set a new standard for leadership in our local government. His dedication to service and the well-being of our people is truly commendable,” the statement read.
According to the group, Alawode’s tenure has been marked by remarkable achievements in various sectors, adding that: “His performance has spanned infrastructure, health, security, and the provision of social amenities. We have seen roads improved, health facilities upgraded, and community safety prioritized.”
Residents echoed these sentiments, with one local leader stating, “Under Hon. Alawode’s leadership, we have witnessed unprecedented development. The roads are now passable, and our health centers are functioning better than ever. He listens to the needs of the people and acts decisively.”
Another resident added, “His ability to engage with the community and implement projects that directly benefit us is what makes him stand out. We feel represented and heard, which is a rarity in leadership today.”
The group said his performance ranging from infrastructure, health, security and provision of social amenities, has brought succour to residents of the local government, also highlighted specific projects that have enhanced the quality of life in Ibadan Southeast, stating, “From the new community health initiatives to the expansion of our local schools, his efforts have truly transformed our local government area.”
However, the GGM also called on the residents of Ibadan Southeast to continue supporting and participating in local governance. “It is crucial for the people to remain engaged and proactive in community affairs. Hon. Alawode has laid a strong foundation, but we must all work together to sustain and build upon this progress,” they stressed.
The Good Governance Movement, however, urged the community to rally behind their leadership, stating, “Together, we can ensure that the strides we have made continue to flourish. Let us hold our leaders accountable and work collaboratively to maintain the momentum of growth and development in Ibadan Southeast.”
