Sat Guru Maharaji has advised Government at all levels to give palliatives to some categories of Nigerians such as the employers of labour to be able to pay their employees, students in Higher Institutions of Learning, Nigeria Union of Teachers and members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), among others.
He made this known at a press briefing to mark the 33rd anniversary of his spiritual village, Ibadan.
He argues that the lockdown put in place by the federal and state government as part of measures to contain and curtailments the spread of the pandemic is obviously having adverse effects on the economy and the peoples’ means of livelihood.
Sat Guru Maharaji however calls on the leadership of the country to look inward rather than waiting endlessly for foreign solutions to the coronavirus pandemic ravaging the world.
He added that Home Grown Solutions as envisaged by the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde remains the only curable mechanism to the dreaded disease.
He called on the Federal Government to initiate effective policies and institutions and ensure that the institutions are working along with the tenets, ethics and laws that governs the creation. Those natural laws are needed for a progressive nation. The rule of law in each country including the Geneva Convention that birthed the United Nations must be respected.
Guru Maharaji admonished Nigerians to go back to the Traditional Culture or the latest currency in the market which he represents. He called on Governor Makinde to put him in a room with twenty five scientists, one extra house wife, one married man, a twenty year old and thirty five year old of any gender from each Local Government Area for two weeks. He said one of them if not two will come out with an invention.
