The Lawmaker representing Oluyole State Constituency at Oyo House of Assembly, Hon. Francis Adetunji Adewale has distributed relief materials to the constituents.

The parliamentarian who is also the Vice Chairman House Committee on Information said that the distribution of the consumable items to the constituents was borne out of feelings and readiness to cushion the effects of lockdown that was orchestrated by corona virus pandemic.

In his interaction with Naija Today News’ crew, Adewale said that the distribution of those relief materials was premised on cushioning the effects of lockdown and also ensuring the constituents’ compliance with the government’s directives of lockdown.

The Oyo Lawmaker said that the outbreak and spread of covid-19 known as corona virus disease in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole had facilitated the partial lockdown in the state, adding that to ascertain people’s compliance with the lockdown, palliative measures should be made available across the nooks and crannies of the concerned quarters.

He said it was his promise and pledge during the electioneering campaign that he would not distant to his constituents, stressing that the relief materials was one among the dividends of democracy that his constituents would enjoy.

On a note of admonition, Adewale enjoined constituents and entire people of Oyo State to adhere strictly to government’s directives on corona virus pandemic.
He equally advised all and sundry to take to all precautionary and hygienic measures during this ravaging period of pernicious disease, stressing that prevention is not only better but cheaper than cure!.
