COVID-19: STOP SCHEMING FOR 2023 PRESIDENCY, PAY ATTENTION TO INDEX CASES, FAYOSE AIDE TELLS FAYEMI

The Ekiti State Governor, DR Kayode Fayemi, has been urged to make Ekiti his priority rather than eyeing the 2023 Presidency.

This was contained in a statement by Lere Olayinka, the aide to the immediate past Governor of the State, Ayodele Fayose. GOALPOACHER NEWS obtained the statement on Lere’s social media pages on Facebook (Lere Olayinka), and his WhatsApp group. The post reads:

Dear Gov. Kayode Fayemi,

“Now that we have a REAL case of Coronavirus in Ekiti, kindly stop mourning Abba Kyari and get to work.”

“Even though I understand why you must be disturbed with the death of Abba Kyari, but what is more important now is the well-being of Ekiti people. This is not the time to be concerned about Presidential or Vice Presidential ambition.”

“Get all those who had contact with the woman that is in FMC, Ido Ekiti and isolate all of them.”

“Embark on aggressive public enlightenement, giving all necessary information on the case, especially where she was taken to so that those who could have had contact with her will know.”

“The situation in Ekiti is critical, and your ability to rise to every occasion is being tested, you must not fail.”

“This is not the time to put on flowing agbada and speak Oyinbo giramatika.”

“It is time for action.”

“I am aware that your Commissioner for Health was at FMC, Ido Ekiti, few minutes ago and he has left.”

“If I were you, I will go to FMC, Ido Ekiti to see things for myself.”

“I will get all those people who have been identified as having contact with the case quarantined.”

“Last week, when I raised the issue of strict adherence to border closure, some of your uninformed Social Media boys went about abusing me. Now you can see the sense in my apprehension. How did that woman enter Ekiti from Lagos despite the lock down”?

“Uncle Kayode, this is the time for you to show leadership devoid of politics and showmanship.”

“Please act now and save Ekiti State and its people from this looming Coronavirus disaster.”

Thank you.
