The Director-General, Civil Society Coalition and Humanitarian Empowerment Initiative (CSCHEI), Kunle Yusuff MON, has expressed deep shock and sadness over the death of Alhaji Haruna Maiyasin Kastina, the Sarkin Sasa and Chairman, Arewa Traditional Council in the 17 Southern States.
In a statement signed by Yusuff and made available to newsmen in Ibadan on Sunday, described Sarkin Sasa’s death as a huge loss to Oyo State and the entire Southern States.
He emphasised the late Sarkin Sasa’s unwavering commitment to the development and progress of his community, acknowledging his contributions to the progress of Ibadanland and Oyo State as a whole.
“Sarkin Sasa’s demise is a monumental loss to all of us who had the privilege of knowing him and benefiting from his wise counsel.
“I hereby extend my deepest condolences to his immediate family, Oyo State Government, Akinyele local government Chairman, Imams and Alfas in the council and Arewa community over the unfortunate incident.
He prayed for the repose of his soul and Allah to grant all he left behind the fortitude to bear this great loss.
