Fresh cracks have emerged within the Accord Party in Oyo State as intense political manoeuvring continues ahead of the party’s governorship primary, exclusively gathered by Goalpoachernews has revealed.

Three aspirants, popular broadcaster Oriyomi Hamzat, Kunle Busari, widely known as “Gudugudu”, and retired Commissioner of Police Fatai Owoseni, have successfully purchased nomination forms and scaled the party’s screening process.

However, reliable party sources disclosed that the internal battle for the party’s ticket has sharply divided stakeholders, with the state leadership reportedly tilting towards Busari.

Kunle Busari is widely believed within party circles to enjoy the backing of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, a perception that has strengthened his influence within the Accord structure.

Although some political observers have also attempted to link Owoseni to the governor, insiders insisted the retired police chief remained a genuine and independent aspirant, dismissing such claims as unfounded.
Goalpoachernews further gathered that tensions escalated after Oriyomi Hamzat allegedly fell out with key party leaders, particularly the state chairman and secretary, who were said to have felt disrespected by the media personality turned politician.
The development is understood to have angered influential figures within the party hierarchy, many of whom are now believed to have aligned with Busari ahead of the decisive primary contest.
Sources within the party disclosed that efforts to reach a consensus arrangement among the aspirants are still ongoing.
However, should negotiations collapse, the Accord governorship primary is expected to hold later this week.
