That’s the situation of Ibadan born philanthropist and educationist, Dr. Akande Kazeem Babatunde (ATM).
As the local government elections in Oyo state draws nearer, it’s no news that campaign has started fully with all candidates jostling to find their way to respective offices.
Akande, who promised in a statement few months ago that he’ll support local government elections in Ido Local Government has fulfilled his promises.
While delivering his promises to candidates representing the party at the local government levels, Akande emphasized the need for candidates to remember to have strategic plans with implementation strategies that will benefit the people when they reach office.
Further speaking at the Local Government Office where he met the candidates, he urged residents of Ido to come out en masse to have a say in their representation at the local government level.
Akande stressed that while the state and federal government are crucial to development, real development can only be achieved at grassroots levels.
His chivalry and commitment to his promises has just earned him the tag of “Akande the promise maker, the promise keeper”.
