    Dr Fagbemi Charges Nurses to Lead by Example

    The Chairman of Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board,Dr Akin Fagbemi has urged all the Apex Nurses in all the facilities within the State Hospitals’ Board to bring their wealth of knowledge, experience and wisdom into reflection at their various hospitals in the state.

    This statement was made today during a meeting of all the head of nurses(Apex Nurses) in the health facilities across the state.The meeting was held at the Conference Room, Ministry of Health, Secretariat,Ibadan.
    The chairman also advised them to have passion that have direction and must leave a positive legacy that people will remembered them for and be happy for.

    He recalled that the recruitment of nurses were given significant consideration during the last recruitment exercise because nurses played a very crucial roles in delivering sustainable health care to the people of Oyo state.Also applicants from the 6 Geo political zones of the state which includes Ibadan,Ibadan less city,Oke Ogun, Ogbomoso,Oyo and Ibarapa were given reasonable consideration so as to have quota system in the recruitment.

    He praises His Excellency Engr Oluseyi Makinde FNSE for his magnanimity towards the health family in the state especially the Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board(OYSHMB) which is one of the health family in the state.

    The Director of Nursing Services(Clinical),Mrs Eyitayo Ayoola thanked the chairman of the board for his words of advise and therefore promised the management of the board on behalf of the Apex Nurses that they will do everything within their capacity to move health sector to the next level among the committee of state in the country.

    Present at the meeting were the chairman of the board, Dr Akin Fagbemi,the Permanent Secretary ,Dr Anifat Ibraheem,the Director of Nursing services(Clinical),Mrs Eyitayo Ayoola and all the Apex Nurses within the board.
