    The Chairman, Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi, paid an unscheduled visit to the neonatal unit of Oni & Sons Children Hospital to inspect facilities and the newly installed 10.2KVA Solar inverter donated by Governor Seyi Makinde.

    Dr. Fagbemi commended Governor Makinde’s vision for the people of Oyo State, citing the solar inverter as a solution to electricity challenges. He acknowledged the hospital’s critical role in maternal and child care, expressing satisfaction with the staff’s performance despite challenges.

    The chairman emphasized the board’s commitment to supporting healthcare workers, addressing recruitment shortages, and ensuring quality service delivery. He encouraged philanthropic gestures, citing Oni & Sons facility as a notable example.

    Dr. Fagbemi assured the public of sustained efforts to improve healthcare, inviting constructive criticism and feedback. He highlighted ongoing recruitment efforts, including the engagement of volunteer nurses.

    Earlier, Dr. Idowu Samuel, expressed gratitude to Governor Makinde and Dr. Fagbemi for providing essential facilities, enabling 24-hour oxygen supply and power at the neonatal unit.

    The solar inverter donation is part of Governor Makinde’s comprehensive healthcare development agenda, aimed at enhancing the quality of healthcare services across Oyo State. This initiative has significantly improved healthcare delivery in various hospitals and healthcare centers.
