In the spirit of the Easter season, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode, has extended warm and heartfelt congratulations to all Christians within the local government and beyond as they commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Hon. Alawode described Easter as a profound celebration of hope, sacrifice, love, and victory over adversity. He noted that the season serves as a reminder of the enduring values of selflessness, forgiveness, and unwavering faith, which are essential for building a peaceful and progressive society.
According to the Chairman, “Easter is not only a time of celebration but also a moment for deep reflection on the virtues of unity, humility, and compassion as exemplified by Jesus Christ.
“It is my sincere hope that this sacred season will renew our collective commitment to peaceful coexistence and community development.”
He urged Christians to use the occasion to pray for the continued peace, stability, and prosperity of Ibadan South East Local Government, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large.
He also encouraged residents to show love to one another, support the less privileged, and foster harmony across religious and cultural lines.
Hon. Alawode further reassured the people of his administration’s unwavering dedication to delivering good governance, enhancing security, and promoting grassroots development for the benefit of all.
“As we celebrate, let us remain law-abiding and safety-conscious, while extending kindness and goodwill to our neighbors.
“Together, we can build a stronger and more united community,” he added.
