As Christians around the world celebrate Easter, member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has appealed to Christians in the country to seize the Easter celebration to renew their faith in God and unite for national and collective growth.

According to Hon. (Dr.) Adepoju, Easter marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ and a reminder of God’s love, mercy, and the power of faith in the face of adversity.

He said the period underscores the importance of strong faith, hope and perseverance, noting that anything, including the impossible, can be achieved by adhering strictly to those rare virtues.

In his Easter message, Ibarapakan also disclosed that the moment of Easter is an opportunity to focus on gratitude and to come together with loved ones, countrymen and women in a spirit of peace and hope for a better and more prosperous Ibarapa Land, Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.

The lawmaker said Nigerians, including political office holders, must imbibe the spirit of humility and service to others if Nigeria must experience any meaningful development.

The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character stressed that the importance of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice to mankind cannot be overemphasised, enjoining everyone to use the Easter period to remember the power of faith regardless of any debilitating situation they might be going through.

He said Nigerians are currently experiencing a tumultuous situation, emphasising that with hope and strong faith, there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

The lawmaker said that Easter is not just a celebration of Jesus’ resurrection but also a call to serve with utmost selflessness, adding that he would not hesitate in making sure he sustains the religious tolerance and co-existence that exist among people of different religious faiths in Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North.

The lawmaker also seized the moment of Easter to promise constituents in Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency of programmes and policies that have a direct and significant impact on everyone.
