Renowned philanthropist, business leader, and the Okanlomo Oodu, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has called on Nigerians to embrace the virtues of love, unity, and sacrifice as Christians across the world celebrate Easter.
In his Easter message, the Chairman and CEO of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort described the season as a profound reminder of hope, renewal, and selflessness.
He urged citizens to reflect deeply on the values demonstrated through the resurrection of Jesus Christ and apply them to national development.
“This season reminds us that beyond pain and trials, there is victory. It is a time to renew our hearts in service to humanity, in kindness to one another, and in faith that Nigeria can rise above its hallenges.”
Chief Sanusi emphasised that Easter is not merely a celebration, but a call to action, encouraging individuals to contribute meaningfully to the growth of their communities and the nation at large.
“Our nation is in need of healing, socially, economically, and spiritually,” he said. “We must all be willing to make sacrifices in our own capacity for the betterment of our communities and country.”
Highlighting the importance of collective responsibility, he further encouraged Nigerians to foster peace, compassion, and unity regardless of religious or ethnic differences.
Describing Easter as a “message of hope,” he added that the season should inspire renewed commitment to nation-building and human development.
“May this season ignite a renewed spirit in us to love more, give more, and build more,” he concluded, wishing Christians a joyful and fulfilling celebration.
