The Executive Chairman Oyo East local government, Hon Olusola Peter Oluokun has congratulated Christians on the occasion Easter celebration.
“My dear people of Oyo East Local Government Local Government, I extend my warm season’s greetings and felicity to you all as we celebrate Easter once again. I join our Christian faithful all over the world in giving thanks to God Almighty whose Grace and benevolence have kept us alive and well through thick and thin.
“On this Easter, let us think about the unconditional love that Jesus Christ, had for us to the extent that He gave His life for our salvation on good Friday. We should also reflect our minds on His resurrection by God on Easter. What a lesson for us of what sacrifice can be achieved and the benefits it can bring to mankind generally and individually.
“Let us all therefore resolve in this Easter season to make the ideals of peace, harmony, tolerance, love and goodwill to all, even more manifest in our interactions with one another.
“With God Almighty as our guide and strength my Administration will continue to implement her agenda for transformation in furtherance of its avowed commitment to improving the living conditions of all Òyó East people and beyond.
“It is my hope and prayer that as we celebrate the glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ, his lessons of self-sacrifice, brotherly love, placing others before self, tolerance, obedience, respect for constituted authorities, honesty, justice and fairness to all will take firmer root in our beloved local government and help us to build more peaceful, secure, united, progressive and prosperous Oyo East of our dreams.
“I shall continue to count on your support and prayers for greater peace, harmony, progress and prosperity in our local government.
“May God fill our homes with peace, love, and joy even as we enjoy the abundance of Grace that Easter brings.
