A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Hon Rita Orji has called on Nigerians to use the occasion of this year’s Easter celebrations to pray for national rebirth and the fulfillment of their aspirations for a safe and prosperous nation where love, truth and justice will prevail.
The former House of Representatives Member who represented Ajeromi, Ifelodun federal constituency between 2015 and 2019 noted that Easter which marks the celebration of the resurrection of the Jesus Christ from the dead, offers great lessons on the inevitable victory of life over death; truth over falsehood; light over darkness and freedom over captivity.
In a statement by her media office on Sunday, Barrister Orji urged Lagosians to use the occasion to rekindle their bonds of love, unity and oneness of purpose.
She also urged the people to stand firm against oppressive forces that are using intimidation, lies, institutional manipulations, propaganda and deprivation in their desperation to divide, subjugate and ultimately subvert the collective will of the people.
She also prayed for the nation and wished Nigerians happy Easter celebrations.
